About Dr Mark Blum Cosmetic Dentistry
When you contact our office, you will be greeted by our receptionist, Suzette. Fluent spanish is available if needed by Jackie who is Dr. Blum's dental assistant. You will be scheduled for your first visit with Dr. Blum for a initial exam, periodontal evaluation and full set of xrays. Dr. Blum will make a treatment plan and explain everything to you regarding your dental health. Depending on your specific needs, you will either be re-appointed with Dr. Blum to start your treatment needed or scheduled with our hygienist Stephanie to start your hygiene recare system or periodontal scaling needs. Suzette Allahand
Office Manager
 Suzette Allahand is our full-time Office Manager. She was born and raised in Bronx, NY and joined Dr. Blum's team years ago when Dr. Blum was just starting his dental practice.
Suzette is hard working, caring and compassionate. Her responsibilities include, exceeding patient care expectations and providing support for all office team members. Suzette is an expert at establishing practices to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow - from check-in to charge-out. She also helps patients understand and select treatment options. Everyone relates to Suzette and loves talking to her. She welcomes all patients and guests, like she would to her own home. She anticipates the patients' needs in advance and always responds to them in a timely manner.
Suzette enjoys shopping and reading. She resides in Sunrise, FL with her family and her loving Osito.
Lu Rene Ball
Dental Hygienist
 We are excited to introduce your new hygienist, Lu Rene Ball. After a long and extensive search, we now have an individual on the team whom you will find to be kind, caring, and professional.
Lu has over 12 years of experience in dentistry field. She graduated as hygienist in 2005 from Forsyth Dental Hygiene school in Boston, where she also completed numerous hours continuing education since then in periodontal disease and cosmetic dentistry, and had the opportunity to work with several very prestigious dentists professors at BU and Harvard University. Lu continually concerns herself with ways to better serve your needs, and she accomplishes this in a most pleasant manner.
Lu's mom was born in Brazil, and her dad is a World War II veteran who is a native Floridian. As a result, Lu is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish. She has a 8 years old son named Seann, and they along with her husband, Beto, enjoy spending time together, whether traveling or just doing homework. Lu is most eager to meet all of you soon, and so far has been a great asset to our office.
Charles J. Adelson, D.M.D.
Periodontist
Dr Adelson is a Periodontist - Practice limited to implants and periodontal surgery.
Dr. Adelson provides his dental services right in our office. If you need periodontal surgery, minor or major, all the treatment requried can be done right in one place. Conscious Sedation is provided if needed. We do not need to refer you to another office. Dr. Adelson received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry at Nova Southeastern University's School of Dental Medicine. He continued his studies there after completing a three-year postdoctoral surgical residency with extensive training in implant placement, periodontal surgery, and regenerative bone therapy.
Jackie Carty
Dental Assistant
Jackie Carty is a full-time Dental Assistant. She was born in the Dominican Republic and came to the United States.in 1982. She joined Dr. Blum's team in March 2008.
Jackie enjoys taking continuing education seminars. Her job is challenging and rewarding, demanding versatility and responsibility for many different tasks. Her bilingual abilities enable Jackie to serve many patients who only speak Spanish and were previously unable to communicate with their health care provider.
Jackie enjoys travelling to Boston and NY visiting relatives. She resides in Sunrise, FL with her family.
